Overview

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to join our growing Corporate Team.

Position Title: Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

Department: Risk Management 

Reports To: Workers Compensation Manager 

Status: Exempt/ Full Time/ Hybrid

Location: Corporate (Bensalem, PA)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Risk Management Department protects the financial and reputational integrity of the Company by aggressively mitigating and managing known risks and proactively identifying and planning for future risks. We serve the Company by building relationships and trust and acting as a valued partner and resource. We strive to deliver results that are cost-effective, timely, innovative, respectful of internal and external stakeholders, and consistent with the Company's Purpose, Vision, and Values.

The Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist will support the Department by operating as a liaison between HCSG and claims organizations (WC Carriers and/or TPAs), ensuring timely and appropriate action and managing related processes. The Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist will join and serve as a subject matter expert for an evolving, collaborative team that supports professional growth and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with review and internal/external reporting determination of workplace incidents
  • Ensures claim handling that drives appropriate loss and expense outcomes for HCSG
  • Maintains tracking system for incident follow-up
  • Ensures compliance with HCSG's incident reporting policies and procedures
  • Coordinates and manages HCSG's medical case management vendor; designates involvement at the time of reporting 
  • Provides WC oversight for non-litigated cases within assigned territory
  • Facilitates WC claim closures
  • Manages injured worker outreach program
  • Ensures Field Operations are following HCSG's Return-to-Work Policy and Procedures
  • Manages shared Risk Team email account
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Technical proficiency (MS Office and Gmail) required
  • Dependable, proactive, attentive to detail, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional communication skills and professional demeanor, Spanish speaking a plus
