Job Description:

We are seeking to hire Water Meter Installers (Start Date August 17th) to join our team for a project in Groves, TX. As a Water Meter Installer, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient installations of water meters across residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow within a company that values hard work and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Yard-to-Yard Installations:
    • You will move from property to property to perform meter installations/changeouts, while also maintaining a high standard of work quality and efficiency.
  • Document Pre/Post Meter Readings:
    • Use our specialized software to accurately document initial and final meter readings before and after installation.
  • Conduct Meter Changeouts:
    • Safely remove old water meters and install new ones, ensuring proper activation and functionality.
  • Communication:
    • Interact professionally with customers, addressing any concerns or questions they may have during the installation process.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Physical Fitness:
    • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including being outside all day, be on your knees in front of the meter pits, and walking for extended periods.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems preferred, but not required.
  • Tech Savvy:
    • Having a reliable phone and comfortable using our software applications for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Reliable Transportation:
    • Must have dependable transportation.

Compensation: (Piece Work)

  • Hourly Wage: $27.00-$40.50 an hour = $13.50 per install (install 2-3 meters an hour)
  • Performance Bonus: Potential earnings up to $54/hr based on productivity.

Project Duration:

  • Groves,TX: 7-9 months
  • Subsequent Project: Open to Travel for future project - Full Time
