About Us: Most of our homes are located within Beachwalk Resort - a magical place located right across from Lake Michiganโ€™s most beautiful beach where charming cottages and grand beach homes are nestled behind picket fences inviting neighbors to chat and vacationers to reconnect with family. In addition to the 90+ homes within the resort, we manage an additional 40+ units in other areas of Northwest Indiana. These homes are individually owned and contracted with us for vacation rental management.

Job Summary: We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual for our front desk team who is excited to join our mission of exceptional service to vacation rental homeowners and guests. The front desk is the exciting hub of our resort and the duties can change moment to moment based on the needs of our team, homeowners and guests. The ideal candidate must have the ability to function in an environment with interruptions and time constraints while maintaining organization and professionalism. The front desk is the face of our business therefore this position requires a smile, above average customer service skills and someone that truly wants to be a team player at all times. This is a seasonal position. Our season runs from May to Mid-September. Expected length of employment: 1-4 months.

Responsibilities:

Friendly and professional front desk/concierge guest check-in and check-out services and procedures.

Knowledge of our large collection of vacation rental homes.

Handle a high volume of phone calls.

Accurately enter, edit and audit reservations.

Communicate pleasantly and effectively both verbally and in writing with team members, homeowners and guests.

Sales

Assisting with events, open houses or other functions as needed.

Accurately collect and process credit card and cash payments.

Coordinate time lines and projects with various departments.

Assist team members in housekeeping, maintenance and sales as needed.

Printing, copying and scanning

Ensure customer inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.

Address complaints professionally and with empathy.

Requirements:

Strong customer service skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Competency with a personal computer, email, word processing and spreadsheet software, with the ability to quickly learn new software programs unique to our industry.

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed under minimal supervision.

A can-do attitude with the tenacity to get the job done, no matter what. This includes assisting other departments as needed, including maintenance and housekeeping.

Ability to answer emails and phone inquiries timely, thoroughly and with accuracy.

Ability to sit, stand and walk throughout the work day.

Ability to lift, carry and push up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. on occasion.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $16/hr
