Bell & Evans is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Mod Repair Technician to help maintain the equipment that supports our live operations. In this role, you will inspect, repair, and maintain poultry transport modules (mods), ensuring they are safe, functional, and ready for daily use.

What You'll Do

As a Mod Repair Technician, you will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on poultry transport modules while helping maintain an organized and efficient repair operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain plastic and metal components on poultry transport modules
  • Load, unload, and transport modules using a forklift
  • Safely move equipment throughout the repair area
  • Maintain a steady workflow while meeting daily production goals
  • Complete daily repair and progress reports
  • Identify damaged components and communicate parts needs to shop management
  • Assist with maintaining an organized inventory of repair parts and supplies
  • Support seasonal trailer curtain replacements and repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have:

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain productivity throughout the day
  • A commitment to workplace safety
  • The willingness to learn and operate a forklift safely if not already certified

Previous experience in equipment repair, mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, automotive repair, agricultural equipment, or industrial maintenance is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Forklift experience is preferred but training will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and the use of hand and power tools. Candidates must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and safely operating equipment. The ability to lift and move heavy equipment components is required.
