Job description

The Small Engine Mechanic will independently service and maintain a variety of outdoor power equipment, including lawn mowers and chainsaws. This role focuses on diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal equipment performance with minimal customer interaction and no travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engine repair, maintenance, and diagnostics on small engines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues
  • Replace worn or damaged parts to restore equipment function
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
  • Ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in small engine repair
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of mechanical diagnostics and small engine repair techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Basic welding skills
