Job description

InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions is a for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital. One of the most comprehensive medical facilities in Florida serving a dozen counties with a population more than six million. We are committed to providing patients with excellent and compassionate care.  Tampa General is affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and serves as the primary teaching hospital for the university. Interhealth is currently hiring for 13-week contracts with significantly higher base pay and benefits for purchase. We offer opportunities that will allow our seasonal contractors to consider full time or part time conversions but also be eligible for contract extensions depending on team’s coverage. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into and deemed competent to work independently.

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills 21
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Must have a minimum of one year of related work experience and be deemed competent.
  • Must have current FL RN license.
  • Must have and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red  Cross. Seasonal RNs assigned to the Emergency Room or PACU must also have PALS. NIHSS Required.
  • Must have previous Cath Lab experience.
