Job description

IMDb is the world's most popular source for movies, TV shows, and celebrities, reaching more than 250 million monthly visitors worldwide. As a Senior Account Executive on the IMDb Non-Entertainment Ad Sales team, you will independently own and grow a portfolio of advertiser relationships, positioning IMDb as a standalone premium advertising destination for non-endemic brands across categories including Auto, CPG, Alcohol, FinServ, Travel, and Hospitality.
This is a quota-carrying sales role.

You will prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close advertising partnerships across IMDb's full suite of ad products - including display, video, sponsorships, special events, original content integrations, and offline activations. You will operate independently from the broader Amazon Advertising sales organization, building direct relationships at the client and agency level to unlock incremental budget and drive brand awareness, consideration, and conversion.
With your consultative approach and deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, you will act as a strategic partner to clients - educating them about IMDb's uniquely engaged entertainment audience and the full range of advertising and brand integration opportunities available.

You'll also work closely with internal, cross-functional teams to deliver results for your advertising customers.
This role currently requires a minimum of five days working from the assigned office per week and will require travel as needed.
Key job responsibilities
- Own a defined book of business with an annual revenue quota tied specifically to IMDb advertising investment
- Prospect and develop new advertiser relationships across non-entertainment verticals, with a focus on mid-to-upper funnel brand opportunities
- Grow IMDb revenue and, where possible, exceed goals through creative, consultative solutions
- Build and present customized media plans leveraging IMDb's full ad product portfolio: Video Wall, Awards sponsorships, Festivals, Fandoms, Diverse Voices, Seasonal/Trending, and programmatic/display offerings
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including RFP responses, proposal development, negotiation, and IO execution, working in partnership with core LCS Vertical and Account teams
- Drive renewals and year-over-year revenue growth within existing accounts through product expansion and deepened client relationships
- Partner with IMDb Ad Specialists (GTM, Sales Specialist, and Product Marketing teams) to develop vertical strategies, surface VoC/VoS feedback, and access the latest sales collateral and pitch materials
- Work with internal IMDb stakeholders to innovate on behalf of clients
- Coordinate with Campaign Management (CCM/AM) teams to ensure seamless campaign execution, asset collection, and performance reporting
- Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity in Salesforce, including Premium Calendar updates for reserved and sold sponsorship inventory
- Provide Voice of Customer and Voice of Sales feedback to internal product and GTM teams to inform IMDb's advertising roadmap
A day in the life
You'll spend your time prospecting non-endemic brands, building tailored IMDb media plans, and meeting with clients and agency partners across display, programmatic, sponsorship, and original content teams.

You'll collaborate closely with IMDb's Ad Specialist team to access the latest pitch materials and vertical insights, and partner with CCM/AM teams to ensure your sold campaigns execute flawlessly. No two days look the same - you might be pitching a Video Wall takeover for a grocery brand in the morning and reviewing a custom Awards sponsorship proposal for an auto client in the afternoon.
About the team
IMDb Non-Entertainment Ad Sales is a dedicated team of Senior Account Executives within Amazon Ads, covering all US non-entertainment advertising categories.

We sell IMDb as a standalone premium offering - not as part of a broader Amazon media plan - unlocking incremental budget at the client and agency level by connecting brands to IMDb's highly engaged entertainment audience. Our team is led by the Head of IMDb US Sales and works in close partnership with IMDb's Ad Specialist, GTM, and Campaign Management teams.
We lead with customer obsession, laser-focused on growing our clients' businesses while growing as individuals ourselves.

We thrive in a collaborative environment, working harmoniously across multiple partner teams to deliver for our customers. Our vision is to exceed sales goals and delight clients - identifying and overcoming obstacles with a solution mindset. We have fun and make history while doing it.
