Job description

Company Description
While this position is remote, we're looking for candidates that live in the U.S. This is to facilitate communication and coordination with internal teams and clients.
Strategic smarts + technical expertise + artistic magic. Here, that's our not-so-secret sauce for cooking up marketing that doesn't just capture attention - it drives real business growth for our clients.
We support organizations across a wide range of industries, offering services including branding, web design/development, SEO, digital advertising, and content creation, where strategic consulting is a given. We serve as guides and advisors to clients, navigating them through the complexities of the digital landscape. Our Creative team also plays the crucial role of storytellers, bringing narratives to life that resonate with audiences and drive meaningful engagement.
At The Digital Ring, we describe ourselves as being "data-driven, human-focused"; while data and tech form the backbone of our marketing strategy, we never lose sight of the human element. Our approach is centered on understanding the needs, emotions, and aspirations of our audience, ensuring that every campaign resonates on a human level and fosters genuine connections with our clients and their customers.
Job Description
We're seeking a Brand Strategist that is the primary strategist and point of contact for key client accounts. Brand Strategists work closely with clients to align marketing efforts with their business goals and will collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality campaigns and deliverables including marketing retainers, branding projects, and website projects.
This role requires someone with strong communication skills, who can proactively problem-solve, manage projects efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record in digital marketing or at a marketing agency (preferably both).
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
As a Brand Strategist, you will take the lead in managing client relationships and guiding marketing strategies. Your role will involve ensuring seamless project execution, collaborating with internal teams, and using data-driven insights to achieve client success. Specifically these responsibilities will include:
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships and trust. As a services-based business, customer service needs to always be kept top of mind.
  • Strategic Expertise: Provide high-quality, valuable strategic consulting services on each and every client account by thinking critically, asking thoughtful questions, and providing constant strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborative Marketing Leadership: Organize specialty teams to conduct discovery for strategic understanding of clients' audiences, market, competitors, goals, and branding, complete diagnostic and assessments, develop and execute strategic marketing plans, and brainstorm creative campaign concepts.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables by coordinating with internal teams to ensure on-time, high-quality execution.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze campaign performance, gather data, and apply insights to optimize strategies, meeting quarterly KPIs and profitability goals.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear, compelling communication in client meetings, emails, and presentations. Serve as the lead in both client and internal discussions.
  • Problem-Solving: Address client challenges and internal process improvements swiftly and effectively, ensuring smooth project flow and resolution of any issues.
  • Client Forecasting: Identify opportunities for improvement and/or account growth to support the company's goals and guarantee a profitable client partnership.

SKILLS & TRAITS
This position calls for a strategic, big-picture thinker with exceptional communication abilities. You should be a proactive problem-solver and positive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The top candidates will have the following skills:
  • Marketing Prowess: Thorough understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics including SEO, email marketing, digital advertising, social media, etc.
  • Strategic Thinker: Able to see the bigger picture and make decisions that align with clients' business goals.
  • Excellent Communicator: Capable of articulating complex ideas clearly, succinctly, persuasively to both clients and teams.
  • Problem-Solver: Demonstrates agility in addressing challenges and adjusting strategies as needed and knows when to escalate issues to upper management for additional support.
  • Proactive Leader: Takes ownership of client success, continuously assessing relationships and improving processes to deliver outstanding results.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ensures every project detail is managed, from tracking hours to meeting deadlines and ensuring profitability.
  • Action-Oriented: Breaks down complex issues into easy-to-understand, deadline-driven action items, outlining exactly what is needed, and from whom, and by when, to help reach a resolution.
  • Creative Insight: Reviews all final deliverables with a critical eye and be able to provide clear, thoughtful feedback to internal teams if the deliverable does not meet expectations.
  • Career Development: Regularly asks for and is open to feedback internally and from the clients. They must demonstrate a willingness and commitment to applying the feedback provided. TDR employees have a strong passion for what they do, a continual desire to learn, and bring a contagious level of interest to each project.
  • Positive Professionalism: Displays a positive, eager, and mature attitude towards their colleagues and clients.
