About the role
The Seasonal Warehouse LTL Associate plays a key role as a member of the Shipping Team during out peak busy season and is accountable for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and shipping large LTL orders. The Seasonal Warehouse LTL Associate is vital to the company's overall growth strategy and day-to-day efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibility Areas:
  • Communicate directly with the General Manager, Department Supervisors, Team Leads, and fellow DecksDirect team members.
  • Participate in department start-up/end-of-shift meetings to ensure proper hand-off of important information
  • Communicate safety issues with distribution center leadership
  • Pick and Pack decking orders accurately following DecksDirect LTL standards
  • Actively participate in LTL shipping improvement projects
  • Transfer product to various locations in the warehouse
  • Ensure decking and large inventory is picked and/or packed without damage
  • Ensure correct inventory is picked for each order
  • Report inventory variances to the inventory control team
  • Perform picking and packing functions in timely and efficient manner keeping error rates low
  • Participate in DC continuous improvement events.
  • Cross training in additional functional areas of the DC to assist when needed
  • Other warehouse related duties as assigned

  • Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs, occasionally team lift 100 lbs
  • Build pallets to load decking on to ship

Position Details
  • Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm
  • Seasonal position until August 14, or based on business need
  • Hourly / Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)
    • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
  • Reports to: Lead/DC Supervisor
  • Location: Whitestown, IN
  • Internal position: not remote or telecommute
