To thrive as a Seasonal Migrant, individuals typically need physical stamina, basic agricultural knowledge, and the ability to adapt to various work environments, though formal qualifications are often not required. These abilities ensure productivity, safety, and positive working relationships, which are essential for meeting the demanding and variable needs of seasonal agricultural work.

What is a seasonal migrant?

Seasonal migrants are individuals who temporarily move from one region or country to another to take up short-term employment, often in sectors like agriculture, tourism, or construction. Their work is usually tied to specific seasons, such as harvesting crops or tourist high seasons, after which they return to their place of origin or move to another location for work. Seasonal migration helps meet labor demands during peak periods and provides income opportunities for workers who may lack stable employment in their home regions. However, seasonal migrants can face challenges such as job insecurity, limited access to services, and difficult working conditions.
