Job description

Job Summary:The Inventory Control / Forklift & Truck Driver is responsible for the timely and accurate movement of materials and inventory throughout the facility and between company locations. This role supports production by ensuring lines are stocked, materials are transported safely, and deliveries are completed on schedule, while maintaining compliance with company policies, food safety, and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklift to transport packaging materials (e.g., boxes, tubs, film) to appropriate production lines.
  • Ensure all materials are staged and supplied accurately and on time.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report shortages or overages, and use scanners/inventory software to track movement.
  • Safely operate company truck to transport goods between the Market Street location and the Distribution Centers.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
  • Ship and receive goods according to company protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory areas, trucks, and equipment.
  • Support food safety, legality, and quality practices as outlined by certification bodies.
  • Follow all PPE, GMP, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain assigned work areas, ensuring surfaces and floors are free of obstructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Forklift operation experience (certification preferred)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record
  • 1-2+ years of warehouse or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Standing, walking, pulling, and repetitive motion
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong awareness of surroundings
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong problem-solving skill
