Location: Wichita, Kansas (travel typically required)

Employment Status: Part-Time, Seasonal (May-November) – Non-exempt

Based in the heart of Kansas, Victory is a premier pyrotechnics and special effects company dedicated to transforming events into unforgettable experiences using a combination of audio, pyrotechnics, and special effects.

We hire a team consisting of pyrotechnic field technicians, show designers, and logistics gurus who allow us to produce magical firework productions.

Job Summary:

As a Pyrotechnic Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting environment, contributing to the success of our pyrotechnic displays at various events throughout the state of Kansas. This part-time, seasonal role offers flexibility, allowing you to select events based on your availability throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance and Material Handling: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices in the handling, storage, and use of pyrotechnic materials and equipment.

Setup and Installation: Set up and install pyrotechnic devices and equipment at event locations, ensuring they are securely and safely in place.

Script Execution: Follow pyrotechnic display scripts or cues to synchronize fireworks and special effects with music, choreography, or event timing.

Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot pyrotechnic equipment and firing systems to ensure they function correctly.

Testing and Rehearsals: Conduct tests and rehearsals to ensure the safety and quality of pyrotechnic displays before live events.

Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as misfires, and take appropriate action to protect the safety of personnel and the audience.

Permit and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the pyrotechnic displays comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Site Cleanup: After the event, assist in the safe and efficient cleanup of the pyrotechnic materials and equipment.

Training: Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and certification programs related to pyrotechnics and special effects.

Qualifications:

No prior experience required; we will provide comprehensive training.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as events primarily occur during these times.

Physical fitness and ability to frequently lift heavy objects (50 lbs) and work in outdoor environments.
