Description

Macmillan is seeking a Sales Assistant to join the Children's Sales team. Reporting to the B&N Manager, the assistant will be responsible for supporting Barnes & Noble and Canadian retailers, tracking sales and other projects for both accounts, and preparing materials for their sales calls and seasonal presentations. Our ideal candidate is highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across multiple projects. Experience in sales or publishing, including internships, is a plus.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the Barnes & Noble and Canada managers in daily tasks
  • Prepare sales materials for each account, including monthly sales calls and seasonal presentations
  • Create and distribute daily and weekly sales reports to the National Account Managers
  • Communicate updates about projects, answer questions, and follow-up with accounts and team members from different departments, including editorial, marketing, and design
  • Attend seasonal planning meetings

What You'll Bring:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, especially Excel
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize across tasks
