The Job
As a Service & Rental Associate, this role involves providing essential support to the rental shop operations, catering to the needs of our customers, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the service and rental process. Responsibilities include preparing rental bikes, skis, or boards as per the season, cleaning, receiving customer equipment for tunes or mounts, coordinating with technicians, answering phone inquiries, assisting mechanics with bike tunes, aiding ski techs in binding tests, servicing rental bikes as needed, managing recycling, and detailing bikes upon return. Additionally, this position requires following up with customers when technicians are occupied.
Pay: $21.30/hr - $21.77/hr
Duration: Mid October - Mid February (with the possibility to extend)
Scheduling Requirements:
  • This is a seasonal position with weekend and holiday scheduling requirements.
  • Weekend availability is required, as well as the ability to work during peak holiday periods including Black Friday (the day after US Thanksgiving) and the weeks leading up to and following Christmas.
  • Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Opportunity
  • Prepare rental equipment, including bikes, skis, or snowboards, according to seasonal demands.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of rental equipment.
  • Accept and document customer equipment for tuning or mounting services.
  • Coordinate with technicians for the completion and handoff of tunes and mounts.
  • Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries and rental requests.
  • Collaborate with mechanics in performing bike tunes and assist ski techs in binding tests.
  • Service rental bikes when required, addressing maintenance needs promptly.
  • Manage recycling activities and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Detail bikes when returned in a dirty condition.
  • Follow up with customers when technicians are unavailable to answer inquiries.
