If you love the outdoors andare looking for a greatseasonaljob, we have the job for you!The Woods Cross City Public Works Department seeksdiligentcandidates to fillour Seasonal Parks Maintenance positions.

Principal Duties:

Asa park maintenance worker, you willassistwith the maintenance ofthepublic parksavailable forpublic andrecreationaluse, maintenance of open spaces,andprepare for seasonal city-wide events. Duties include but are not limited to:


  • Operatingcomplex lawn mowing equipment; mowingandtrimminggrass,bushes,and shrubs;assistingin pruning trees,shrubs,and plants; removingdead, diseased, or injuredtrees;
  • Performinggeneral landscape and gardening duties as directed to develop attractive parks and grounds
  • Assistingwith repairs on sprinkler systems.
  • Maintainingplaying fields;ensuringstriping and placement of fieldmarkers,clean and operationalfacilitiesand lighting; trimmingand mowinglawns,groomingplaying areas,dirt,and lawns.
  • Performingfacility janitorial duties; cleaningrestrooms,emptyingcontainers,sanitizingreceptacles; performingdaily inspections of buildings and restrooms.
  • AssistingwithotherPublicWorks Department tasks, as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • Mustpossessa current, valid driver license
  • Works well as a member of teamto create beautiful spaces
  • Be able to work in all types of weather
  • Enjoys taking a break fromtheir phone
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Isrequiredto pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen and be subject to random drug screening after hired
  • Must live within 30 minutes of Woods Cross

Salary Rangeand Schedule

40-hourmaxwork week,flexible schedulingavailablefor students.

Some weekend and after-hoursworkrequired.

Pay range$15.00-$18.00per hour depending on experience.This position is noteligible for benefits.
