Job description

Description

Join our seasonal grounds maintenance team at the cemetery from April 1st to September 30th. As part of the grounds crew, under supervisor directive, you'll undertake various tasks including, but not limited to, grounds maintenance such as mowing, irrigating, string trimming, fertilizing, weed control, fall clean up, and winterization.


PRIMARY DUTIES, REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Mow lawns using a variety of different riding and push mowers

Troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs irrigation along with daily watering responsibilities

Fall cleanup and winterization using rakes, blowers, etc....

Trim around all grave markers and monuments using industrial string trimmers

Perform all duties while adhering to all company policies and procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be physically able to perform all tasks related to grounds maintenance. IE: Able to lift up to 100lbs., able to stand for long periods, frequent bending, stooping and kneeling.

Must be able to work in inclement weather, including rain, snow, sleet, hail, cold and hot days

Fairmount Memorial Association promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and random testing throughout employment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be hard working, possess the ability to learn quickly and have a minimum 2 yrs. experience with light duty grounds maintenance equipment.
