Anderson Powersports in Bullhead City, AZ, is looking for a parts advisor to join our team. The parts advisor is responsible for helping customers and mechanics find the parts they need. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations.

Summary/Objective

The parts advisor assists mechanics and customers in acquiring the needed parts and supplies for their vehicles, providing outstanding customer service, helping to ensure safe and comfortable vehicle operation(s).

Essential Functions

  • Sell parts to customers to meet monthly forecasts.
  • Issue parts and accessories to mechanics from the parts counter.
  • Display seasonal parts and accessories in an attractive manner.
  • Control files, reference books, and other paperwork at the parts counter.
  • Report any inventory or price discrepancies to the Parts Manager.
  • Maintain master parts and price book.
  • Take and fill orders for service technicians promptly and efficiently, helping service technicians as needed to determine which parts and accessories are required for each job.
  • Make suggestions when appropriate regarding specific parts and accessories that may be needed for each job.
  • Keep the inventory control system and parts catalog up to date.
  • Inform service personnel when back-ordered or special-order parts are received.
  • Be polite and friendly, greet customers promptly, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Make sure the merchandise displays are dusted, clean, fully stocked, and appealing to customers.
  • Become proficient and familiar with computer systems necessary for parts and accessories management.
  • Communicate effectively and often with Assistant Service Managers (ASMs) / Service Advisors.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Shows when scheduled to work, on time, ready, and able to perform essential job functions. 
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Perform other tasks as directed.

This position operates mainly in the parts department, working behind the counter or picking out parts.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to accommodate the service department's working hours. This position regularly requires working some evenings, and weekends.

Note: Schedules are subject to change.  Two weeks’ notice of a schedule change will be provided whenever possible.

May be required to drive from one dealership to another.
