Job description

About Repurpose Since 2010, Repurpose has been on a mission to make sustainability easy. We live to do well by doing good. We’re an omni-channel consumer brand with the best-in-class plant-based, non-toxic household everyday essentials including plates, bowls, cups, trash bags, and toilet paper that work as well as anything else on the shelf (and look better doing it). We're a woman-led team, growing across DTC, Amazon, and retail. Repurpose has been recently named one of the ‘Most Innovative Companies in the World’ and a ‘Brand that Matters’ by Fast Company and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal.   This position is remote with occasional travel for team meetings. To apply, provide the following: * Cover letter that: 1) outlines your CPG eccommerce experience and growth you were responsible for, 2) why this makes you right fit for RP and 3) outlines your salary requirements. About the Position We're looking for a Head of Ecommerce responsible for owning our global ecommerce strategy across all ecommerce channels: from DTC to Amazon to TikTokShop and retail shopper marketing. We need a hands-on operator who can own everything from P&L to tactics. We're looking for someone with a proven track record scaling high-growth consumer brands, strong Shopify Plus fluency, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams with a clear commercial point of view. The right person will have experience both managing external agency relationships and developing in-house talent. (CPG, Household, Mission-driven brand background is a plus). If you are a seasoned, highly strategic and solution-oriented ecommerce professional with deep experience in the CPG industry, with both Brick & Mortar Wholesale and eCommerce platforms... we would love to meet you! Additional Details * Reports to: President & CCO * Manages Amazon agency, Performance marketing agency, Retention/Email marketing manager * Location: U.S.-based remote with working hours overlapping U.S. West Coast (Pacific Time) business hours * Travel: Remote meetings are the norm, but occasional in-person meetings may be required (often quarterly); travel is minimal About You Must-Haves * Minimum 8+ years in ecommerce, preferably with experience inside a lifestyle, better-for-you, or mission-driven CPG brand (not agency-only experience) * Demonstrated hands-on management of a Shopify storefront and an Amazon Seller Central account (not just overseeing agencies that did) * Incorporates AI tools into their daily workflow, using them to streamline repetitive tasks, surface deeper analytics, and move faster while treating AI as a co-intelligence partner, not a replacement for their own experience and judgment * P&L fluent: builds their own models, defends assumptions, explains variance without being asked * Manages agencies like a partner: drives strategy and accountability * Operates at both ends of the reporting spectrum: deep enough in the data to catch what's moving the business day-to-day, and clear enough to present KPI dashboards and critical business drivers to the leadership team without translation * Communicates with impeccable clarity in writing and in person: can align cross-functional partners (sales, operations, product) as effectively as they can present to the full leadership team or address the broader organization * Fluent in Shopify and Klaviyo platforms, including analysis and reporting * ERP familiarity (Netsuite strongly preferred), Monday or similar project management tools Strong Differentiators * Has scaled a brand on Amazon from good to great and knows what it actually takes to move and stay there * Has expanded Amazon and other ecomm presence internationally * Has inherited "good but not great" ecommerce channels and made them measurably better, and can tell us exactly how * Experience building or overhauling a retention and segmentation program as an email list scales * Thrives in a lean, high-ownership environment and brings resourcefulness and urgency to a small team without needing layers of support to deliver results. Understands there is no mission without margin. Key Responsibilities This role will plan and execute Repurpose’s omnichannel growth strategy (DTC, Amazon, retail eCommerce, digital marketplaces). DTC * Set budgets, targets, and KPIs; manage a monthly P&L forecast. * Lead Repurpose.com: own conversion rate optimization across the site with PDPs, landing pages, home page content, product assortment architecture * Create and lead promotional strategy and campaigns: seasonal sale cadence, subscribe & save, bundling, etc. * Partner with your Email & Retention Manager to drive repeat sales and build a segmentation strategy that gets more sophisticated as the list grows * Drive new customer acquisition with profitable performance marketing * Manage the DTC P&L with a clear line of sight to contribution margin Amazon * Manage strategy and oversight of the Amazon agency on all fronts: product, content, advertising, and budgeting, and work closely with the operations team to ensure product availability * Manage Amazon product catalog and identify opportunities for growth and SKU rationalization * Own sponsored search priorities: budget allocation, ROAS targets and profitability, and keyword architecture * Drive PDP quality: copy, imagery, A+ content, and review management * Identify Subscribe & Save, promotional, and velocity-building opportunities * Manage Amazon P&L including ad spend efficiency and fee optimization Performance Marketing / Shopper Marketing * Under the leadership of the President/CCO, scale performance across DTC growth channels including: Email, SMS, Google and Subscription Programs * Concept, build, and manage full-funnel campaigns to drive profitable customer acquisition, LTV, and retention * Drive strategy for the performance marketing agency and identify performance marketing opportunities for paid social and search , TTS * Drive performance on retail eCommerce and marketplaces (everything from Amazon to Instacart, DoorDash, Wholefoods, Kroger, ABSCO, Thrive Market, Grove Collaborative, and others.) * Partner with Ops & Retail Sales teams on merchandising, pricing, promotion, and margin models to inform purchasing and product development. Business Analytics and AI Tools * Analyze and track data, insights & optimization to drive profitable growth and business decisions * Demonstrated experience with AI integration and tools for optimized workflow and analytics. * Conduct regular performance reviews and customer‑insight sessions.
