Job Description

Hey, we got your attention!

Thanks for checking us out! We’re hiring and looking for our next top Senior Paid Media Strategist who is ready to contribute to a diverse portfolio of clients across North America.

A little about Konstruct…

  • We are a B2B-focused digital marketing agency headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, but we have clients all over North America.
  • We specialize in search, paid, and content marketing. And we're damn good at all 3!
  • We have a hybrid work model with three in-office days that fuel our collective pursuit of success. Champions aren't made in isolation, and we're serious about winning together.
  • Unlike many other agencies, we’re serious about having a healthy work-life balance.
  • We believe we can’t grow as a company unless we help you grow as a marketer, and we are obsessive about both.
  • We take our culture seriously, nothing is more important to us than creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and have fun doing great work together. Thursday team lunches, anyone?
  • We’re looking for curious self-starters who don't settle for "good enough." We sweat the details...every time!

A little about the role…

As a Sr Paid Ads Strategist, you will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel digital campaigns across Search, Display, and Social platforms. In this client-facing role, you’ll collaborate closely with key stakeholders to develop holistic media strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable growth.

You will be responsible for end-to-end campaign management from strategic planning and tactical execution to performance analysis and insights reporting. In addition, you’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities to expand client partnerships by uncovering growth areas, proposing new initiatives, and continuously refining our approach to meet evolving goals.

The right candidate lives and breathes paid media. You are up to date with knowledge of the latest PPC and digital marketing trends and can translate them into impactful campaign strategies. You’re in this field because you love the pace and embrace change. You live by the motto “implement, test, optimize, repeat”. You want our clients to get the best bang for their buck and grow like crazy. Data makes you tick, you can never get enough of it and can get lost in spreadsheets analyzing data for hours.

Candidates must be located in the Calgary area.

A little about you…

  • 7+ years of ad buying and managing experience across paid acquisition platforms and 3+ years specializing in performance marketing
  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing and PPC best practices and strategies
  • Proven experience building, maintaining, and optimizing successful digital strategies and paid campaigns on platforms like programmatic, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Microsoft, and YouTube
  • Proven experience building complex, multi-step funnel strategies by distilling high-level business goals (revenue, pipeline growth, sales impact) into actionable marketing strategies, prioritization, and performance metrics across channels.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple goals (revenue, engagement, awareness) and to continuously improve month-over-month KPI targets
  • Proficiency managing mid-to-large-scale budgets ($30K/mo+)
  • Great at search copywriting. You can write headlines that get (and convert) the click. And can easily craft new angles on demand
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Great analytical skills and pattern recognition. You can quickly spot trends, trim the fat, and scale what’s working
  • Enjoy communicating with clients and adept at data storytelling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially when walking clients through strategy plans and campaign reports

Things that will greatly improve your candidacy:

  • Prior performance agency experience
  • Google Ads Certified in Search, Display, Shopping, and Video
  • Microsoft Ads Certified
  • Facebook Certified
  • Google Analytics Certified
  • Experience setting up analytics and conversion tracking (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager)

Your Qualities:

  • Details matter, you sweat the small stuff
  • Relentless curiosity, you’re not afraid to ask hard questions and challenge the status quo
  • Strong communicator, you have a talent for translating complex strategies into client-friendly language
  • Marketer at heart, new trends, tactics, and tools keep you up at night
  • Competitive, good enough is rarely good enough
  • Empathetic, a client’s wins and losses are your wins and losses
  • You want to do great work, and be on a team that enables that
  • You maintain a data-first approach assess campaign performance and pinpoint issues
  • You love to learn - this field is always changing and you love to change with it!

Some Tips For Your Cover Letter:

  • We aren't looking for someone who just follows a checklist; we need a strategist who understands the "Why" behind the "What."
  • Walk us through your strategic decision-making process: How do you move beyond platform metrics (ROAS/CPC) to drive actual business outcomes for a client?
  • Highlight a complex "Win": Tell us about a time you identified a non-obvious business challenge or a nuanced data point that required a total pivot in strategy.
  • Focus on the Logic: Describe how you balanced client expectations with your strategic recommendations to achieve a unique result.

Job Perks:
