CONTRACT: Accounting Manager (10919)
Our client, a Highly successful and growing Azle commercial electrical contractor is looking for anAccounting Managerto join their team on a Contract-to-Hire basis.
The successful candidate will provide hands‑on accounting leadership for the Company performing or managing all accounting and reporting responsibilities including managing a team of 2 accounting staff.

The position reports directly to the CEO with dotted line reporting to a Fractional CFO.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of the accounting department including performing job cost reporting, over/(under) WIP schedules, financial reporting, month end accounting close including bank and other reconciliations, cash management; and supervising monthly billing, accounts payable, payroll processing, collections.
  • Supervise two (2) staff:
    • Accounts Receivable-Accounts Payable
    • HR and Field Employee Administration
  • Accountable for the effective functioning of internal controls over cash receipts and disbursements, including monitoring Accounts Receivable aging
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly, and other general accounts, as needed
  • Perform the month-end close process, including journal entries as needed
  • Prepare balance sheet and profit and loss statements monthly
  • Prepare sales tax reporting monthly
  • Prepare other financial schedules as needed upon request
  • Provide necessary information to the Company independent CPA for tax return preparation
  • Special projects, reporting, and analyses as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least two (2) years of experience, OR at least five (5) years of comparable experience
  • At least three (3) years construction or contractor accounting experience, including WIP (progress completion) accounting
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy are required
  • Ability to understand and administer compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems (i.e. Sage-Intacct, NetSuite, or QuickBooks)
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision

  • Systems Used:QuickBooks Online preferred

  • POC or WIP accounting highly preferred
  • Construction industry experience highly preferred
