Job description

About Us

Clean Control Corporation is the parent company of OdoBan®, No Natz®, Lethal®, and the recently acquired Crown Candy Corporation. We create trusted, innovative consumer products that improve everyday life. Our marketing team is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled Marketing Copywriter & Content Strategist to help shape the voice of our brands.

The Role

We’re seeking a proactive, creative, detail-oriented writer who can both work independently and collaborate closely with teammates across design, content, and digital. You will own the development of high-performing, SEO-driven and conversion-focused content across our portfolio of brands. This is a content growth role. Your job is to turn search demand, product truth, and customer insight into content that drives traffic, improves conversion, and supports retail velocity. You’ll contribute fresh ideas, help with content planning, and take initiative to move projects forward without waiting on step-by-step direction.

At the same time, you must be able to take constructive feedback in stride and apply it quickly to improve your work. You’ll craft compelling, SEO-driven copy across blogs, websites, social media, ads, email, and video scripts, ensuring content not only engages audiences but also drives organic search visibility and traffic. Because several of our products fall under EPA and regulatory guidelines, this role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure all marketing copy is accurate and compliant with approved product claims.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and scale SEO-focused content that ranks and converts.
  • Own PDP messaging, including product descriptions, FAQs, and other customer-facing website content, and continuously improve conversion rates.
  • Optimize written content for search visibility, including meta titles, descriptions, headers, and internal linking.
  • Write engaging copy for social media posts, paid ads, and email campaigns.
  • Draft scripts for video content, tutorials, and live shows.
  • Contribute original content ideas for blogs, campaigns, and social storytelling.
  • Take initiative to identify content opportunities (holidays, trends, product tie-ins) and propose proactive messaging strategies.
  • Ensure all copy is compliant with regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA-approved claims for cleaning products).
  • Stay current with the evolving search landscape, including AI-driven search (e.g., Google AI Overviews, generative engines, and emerging AEO and GEO practices), and adapt content strategies accordingly. Use AI tools to accelerate output while maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand voice.
  • Adapt work quickly based on feedback from teammates and leadership.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content producers to bring campaigns to life.
  • Support execution across channels as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of professional copywriting or content writing experience (agency or in-house).
  • Creative thinker and self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and manage projects without constant direction.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with proven ability to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA language compliance for cleaning products).
  • Portfolio showcasing work across digital, social, email, and/or websites.
  • Proven track record of writing SEO-optimized content that improves search rankings and drives organic traffic.
  • Strong grasp of keyword research and on-page SEO best practices.
  • Ability to balance SEO requirements with creativity and brand storytelling.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve speed and efficiency, without sacrificing creativity or quality.
  • Coachability: Able to accept constructive feedback and apply it to improve quality, clarity, and compliance.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience writing for CPG (consumer packaged goods) or retail brands.
  • Knowledge of influencer marketing or e-commerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with SEO reporting and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs).
  • Understanding of content performance metrics and how to apply learnings to improve future campaigns.
  • Light project management experience or comfort juggling multiple priorities.

Application Requirements

Candidates should submit a portfolio with at least 3–5 pieces of work across:

  • Blog / SEO article
  • Product page (PDP)
  • Paid ad or email
  • Social or campaign concept
  • Short video script
