Job Summary
As a Materials Planner, you will analyze supply plans and compare them against actual demand to determine material requirements and generate requisitions through Oracle. This role is responsible for interpreting supply plans, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring materials are available to support production while balancing supply and demand. Your work will directly contribute to efficient material planning, inventory optimization, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Analyze supply plans and submit material requisitions through Oracle.
  • Interpret supply plan requirements by analyzing material usage and inventory levels.
  • Make pull-in and push-out decisions based on supply plan requirements.
  • Maintain Kanban loops using standard deviation Kanban formulas.
  • Maintain MRP and Kanban items within required service levels.
  • Create and monitor ISO/Internal Orders.
  • Maintain planning categories (MRP, KB, DSY), inter-division sourcing rules, and planning parameters.
  • Monitor material on hold (quarantine) and ISO inventory.
  • Support engineering changes, including Phase-In/Phase-Out activities, product introductions, product transfers, and ECOs.
  • Participate in inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Administer installed rack capacity.
  • Maintain inventory levels within healthy operating ranges.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement and material planning.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of Kanban and MRP planning.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, including logistics, import, and export.
  • Strong execution and communication skills.
  • Ability to optimize inventory while maintaining service levels.
  • Data maintenance knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a related industry.
