What does a search director do?

A Search Director is responsible for overseeing and managing a company's search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies. They lead teams to develop and implement campaigns aimed at increasing a website's visibility and driving qualified traffic from search engines. Job description

American Family Care is hiring a Paid Media Analyst (Paid Search/Meta) to own day-to-day paid search execution across one of the largest urgent care platforms in the country. Reporting into AFC’s Performance Marketing leadership, you’ll manage Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Local Services Ads across a combination of corporate and franchise owned clinics.

This is a hands-on, in-the-platform role for someone who lives in the search terms report, obsesses over cost-per-booking, incremental gains, and strives to make marketing as transparent and understandable as possible. You are comfortable restructuring a campaign as well as holding an agency accountable to performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and optimize paid search (Google Ads, Meta Ads) and Local Services Ads across AFC’s multi-location footprint through a corporate MCC structure

  • Build, structure, and maintain campaigns at the clinic, market, and DMA level, geo and radius targeting, location assets, ad copy, extensions, and ongoing negative keyword management

  • Own budget pacing ensuring spending efficiency across our Franchise managed Ad.Works accounts

  • Serve as the in-house point of accountability for AFC’s search agency — QA campaign work, pressure-test recommendations, and ensure deliverables tie to business outcomes rather than activity

  • Manage bid strategies (tCPA / tROAS), audience layering, and Performance Max assets against patient-acquisition goals

  • Communicate performance effectively to various Franchise owners, explaining impact to clinic, strategic next steps, answer ad hoc questions

What We’re Looking For

  • 2-4 years of hands-on paid search / SEM experience, ideally in a multi-location, franchise, or healthcare environment, experience with direct response marketing is a must

  • Deep working knowledge of Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Local Services Ads) and Meta Ads, with comfort executing within the ad platforms

  • Experience managing or coordinating with external agencies

  • Comfort with analytics and BI platforms (Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, or similar)

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis tools (such as Claude) is a plus

  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to manage many accounts and stakeholders without letting things slip

  • Strong communicator who can translate performance data into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders and franchise owners

Why AFC

AFC is the largest urgent care franchise network in the United States, with 400+ locations and growing. This role offers meaningful visibility, the chance to shape paid search strategy at scale, and direct exposure to senior marketing leadership.
