Sealcoating General Laborer - Job Overview

Summary:
A sealcoating general laborer helps apply a protective coating to asphalt surfaces like driveways and parking lots. This role is physically demanding and typically seasonal, with work often performed in hot outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare asphalt surfaces before applying sealcoat

  • Operate spray equipment, squeegees, and other tools

  • Use blowers and brooms to remove debris from surfaces

  • Direct traffic or place safety cones and signs when working roadside

  • Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks

  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

  • Assist with crack filling, line striping, or other asphalt maintenance tasks

  • Work Schedule & Pay:

  • Often early morning starts and long days during the season

  • Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
