Job description

Seasonal positions are available from May toNovember 16th with first priority given to previously employed seasonal employees.


Job Responsibilities


Follow instructions given bythe foreman and/or team leader while performing a wide variety of manual tasks including product mixing and squeegeeing, spraying, cleaning and sweeping asphalt, prepping oil spots, shoveling and raking asphalt and other miscellaneous tasks.


Skills and Qualifications:


Education/Experience


  • High School Diploma/GED in progress or completed preferred
  • Outdoor labor work experience in extreme heat is required.


Licensing/Registrations


Preferred: Driver's license in good standing


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Ability to see and correct defects in surfaces being installed.
  • Ability to comprehend, retain and give instructions.
  • Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment MVR, background and drug screen.
  • Ability to work non-routine hours.
  • Technology Use: Google Maps
  • Ability to lift/carry on a regular basis at least 50-90lbs personally.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, and use hand tools.
  • Maintain constant alertness to the multiple activities on the job site including equipment, co-workers, and other traffic.
  • Constant physical effort including lifting, standing, shoveling, or walking for at least eight hours per day without fatiguing.
  • Ability to exert one's self physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.


Job Duties


  • Place sealcoating and asphalt material using a squeegees, shovels, or other related tools.
  • Perform all sealcoating edging of concrete joints, islands, poles, etc.
  • Transport and spread asphalt as needed by shovel and asphalt rake.
  • Neatly, mix sealer product with correct water and additives.
  • Sweep and clean asphalt and treat oil spots with hand brooms, push blowers, shovels, and other handheld equipment.
  • Assist in and direct barricade setup.
  • Follow instruction of foreman and relay instructions to other squeegee users.
  • Participation in ensuring that work meets contract specifications.
  • Efficiently perform all miscellaneous tasks required.
  • Proactively identify needs, problems, and opportunities.
  • Ensure safety of crew, and the public.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, reliable attendance, and meet company standards.
