We are looking for a SEAFOOD ASSOCIATE to join our Rowe's team.
The purpose of this position is to sell Rowe’s fresh seafood by providing remarkable customer service. This person will be educating and assisting customers at the seafood counter, stocking the seafood case and area, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation and training new seafood associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide exceptional customer service including greeting customers and answering questions with a positive attitude.
• Operates scales, uses cutting tools and other department equipment.
• Fills, maintains, and rotates seafood products and displays
• Confirms pricing accuracy, country of origin, and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Maintains high standards of sanitation and freshness
• Assists in other duties as assigned.
• Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store.
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work well with others and work well as a team
• Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, detailed, consistent and forward focused
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• A passion for serving others
• Prior experience is preferred
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Seafood Associates perform their duties primarily in the department. May be exposed to various temperature changes and environments. Work involves using cutting tools, walking, bending, standing, lifting, and carrying products hand-eye coordination, and interaction with customers and associates.
