Job description

Company Overview
SCS Global Services is a pioneer and leader in the field of sustainability standards and third-party certification, working across the economy in the natural resources, built environment, food and agriculture, consumer products, and climate sectors for over 40 years. As a Benefit Corporation, we are committed to socially and environmentally responsible business practices, and through the application of sound science, we are driving positive change.

Job Overview
Verifi is SCS Global Services' AI-powered SaaS platform for audit management, used internally and licensed to leading certification bodies. Verifi transforms how organizations plan, execute, and manage audits end to end, combining a configurable workflow engine, AI-accelerated evidence review, and a domain-aware Knowledge Hub to deliver measurable gains in speed, quality, and auditor confidence. We are building the future of audit, compliance, and sustainability verification, and we are looking for a Product Manager who will own the vision, shape the roadmap, and drive the outcomes that define the next chapter of the platform.

The Product Manager for Verifi owns the product vision, strategy, and feature roadmap for one of SCS's most strategic growth platforms. This position will translate customer insight, market trends, and business strategy into a prioritized roadmap that is organized around outcomes rather than outputs, and will partner with engineering, design, project management, operations, and commercial leaders to turn that roadmap into revenue, retention, and a frictionless user experience.

This is an individual contributor role for a product leader who thinks in outcomes, prioritizes ruthlessly, and is equally comfortable in customer interviews, architecture reviews, and executive roadmap conversations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Product Vision and Roadmap Ownership

  • Own the Verifi feature roadmap end to end, from multi-quarter strategic themes to near-term release planning, and serve as the single accountable owner for what the platform ships and why
  • Collaborate with lead engineers to refine and clarify user stories and feature requirements ensuring roadmap features are delivered with expected results
  • Define and maintain a clear product vision and narrative for Verifi that aligns executives, customers, and the engineering team on where the platform is going and how it wins
  • Shape and sequence major platform initiatives, balancing near-term customer impact with the deeper architectural and capability investments required to scale Verifi
  • Publish and socialize a living roadmap that is credible with customers, defensible with leadership, and actionable for engineering

Outcome-Driven Prioritization

  • Prioritize features and investments based on measurable customer and business outcomes
  • Define the success metrics for every major initiative before work begins
  • Apply a consistent prioritization framework that weighs customer outcome, user experience quality, platform leverage, revenue opportunity, and engineering cost, and use it transparently to make trade-offs across competing stakeholder asks
  • Cancel, defer, or de-scope work that is not earning its place, and communicate those decisions with clarity to the teams and stakeholders affected
  • Partner with Project Manager to ensure feature scope aligns with delivery timelines, identifying which scope priorities span multiple release cycles if necessary to meet deadlines

Customer Experience and Discovery

  • Champion the end-to-end Verifi user experience across multiple user roles, from onboarding and daily audit execution through reporting and renewal
  • Run a continuous discovery practice, including customer interviews, advisory councils, usability testing, in-product analytics, and structured feedback loops with operations, customer success, and partners
  • Translate insights into workflows that are measurably faster, clearer, and more effective than what customers do today
  • Set and track experience quality targets (task success rate, time-on-task, support ticket volume, CSAT, NPS) and treat regressions in these metrics as priority product problems

Market, Competitive, and AI Intelligence

  • Maintain a working view of the audit management, GRC, ESG, and certification tech landscape, including competitive products, pricing, and emerging regulatory drivers such as CBAM, EUDR, and CSRD
  • Lead competitive and market intelligence for Verifi
  • Monitor customer needs and capabilities in the market, estimate gap-closure effort, and surface prioritization recommendations through the appropriate governance forums

Cross-Functional Leadership and Go-to-Market

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure positioning, demos, pricing guidance, and enablement materials reflect the current and near-term platform
  • Partner with operations and program leaders to ensure Verifi meets the requirements of individual certification programs without fragmenting the platform
  • Represent Verifi to partners and strategic customers, and shape joint roadmap commitments that are good for both sides

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure positioning, demos, pricing guidance, and enablement materials reflect the current and near-term platform

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and
  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with at least 3 years owning a customer-facing platform or product area end to end
  • Demonstrated track record of owning a feature roadmap and shipping outcomes, not just features, with clear before and after metrics to prove it
  • Strong customer discovery practice; ability to describe how you talk to users, what you listen for, and how insight becomes a prioritized roadmap
  • Fluency with outcome-based prioritization frameworks (RICE, opportunity sizing, Jobs-to-be-Done, North Star metrics, or equivalents) and the judgment to know when to deviate from them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with proven ability to influence engineering, executive, and commercial stakeholders
  • Comfortable partnering with engineering on technical trade-offs in a modern cloud and AI stack

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain experience in audit management, internal audit, compliance, risk management, GRC platforms, or sustainability certification
  • Experience managing a multi-tenant SaaS platform with external licensees or white-label customers
  • Proficiency with product analytics tools and experience running structured experimentation and A/B testing
  • Product leadership certifications and training
