Genova Technologies has immediate openings for Embedded Software Developers for an exciting, long-term project in Cedar Rapids, IA.

 

What will you do?

This team member will support a development team working to create and maintain displays using C++/QML on a large embedded device. Each engineer will work within an Agile/Scrum team to develop, test, and validate software code. Work must be completed at our Cedar Rapids, IA office. Multiple positions are open based on experience level.

Specific responsibilities include:

Working within an Agile/Scrum team using a CI/CD framework

Developing software that meets a defined Definition of Done for assigned Agile stories

Performing unit testing and providing debugging and documentation support as needed

Collaborating with the team and Product Owner to provide feedback on story definition, sizing, and completeness.

What do you need?

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

4-year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or similar field

2+ years of experience developing using C++

1+ years of experience with Qt

Proven ability to work within a development team.

Skills we consider a plus include:

Some object-oriented design or development experience

Experience with containerization

Experience working with QML

Experience working on embedded displays

Experience working in an Agile environment.
