What is a Scrum Master?

A Scrum Master is a professional responsible for facilitating the Scrum framework within a team. They help ensure that the team follows Agile principles and Scrum practices, removing obstacles and fostering a collaborative environment. The Scrum Master acts as a servant-leader, supporting the team to deliver high-quality products efficiently. They also work with product owners and stakeholders to maximize the value delivered by the team.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Scrum Master, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Scrum Master, you need a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework principles, and often a Scrum Master certification such as CSM or PSM. Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps is typically required. Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills help foster team collaboration and remove obstacles. These competencies are crucial for guiding teams toward continuous improvement and successful project delivery in Agile environments.

Scrum Masters often encounter challenges such as team members being disengaged during ceremonies, unclear objectives for each meeting, or conversations veering off-topic. To address these, it's important to set clear agendas, encourage active participation by fostering a safe and open environment, and use facilitation techniques to keep discussions focused. Regularly seeking feedback from the team and continuously improving the ceremony structure can also help ensure meetings remain productive and valuable.

Competitive Benefits. Meaningful Extras. Unmatched Value.

  • A place where you can take your career in the direction you want to grow and go

The Opportunity:

The Salesforce Product Owner bridges business strategy and technical execution across the enterprise ecosystem. In this role, you will own the platform roadmap, prioritize the sprint backlog, and translate high-level organizational goals into actionable, well-scoped user stories. Functioning at the intersection of business operations, enterprise architecture, and technical delivery teams, you will champion platform efficiency, drive end-user adoption, and ensure continuous value delivery across core Salesforce environments (such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud).

Responsibilities:

  • Roadmap & Strategic Vision: Define, maintain, and execute the short- and long-term Salesforce product vision, ensuring all enhancements align directly with key business goals, operational metrics, and organizational KPIs.
  • Backlog Management & Grooming: Maintain, refine, and prioritize the product backlog. Drive backlog grooming sessions to balance strategic business impact, technical debt mitigation, and technical feasibility with delivery teams.
  • Requirements & Story Translation: Run discovery sessions with cross-functional business stakeholders to gather complex operational requirements. Translate business needs into clear, detailed user stories equipped with robust acceptance criteria and test cases.
  • Agile Leadership & Collaboration: Lead or co-facilitate core Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) in close partnership with Scrum Masters, Salesforce Administrators, and Developers.
  • User Acceptance & Adoption Strategy: Oversee and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business champions. Design release management communication, drive change management initiatives, and track platform adoption metrics to continuously optimize user workflows.
  • Platform Governance & Alignment: Collaborate with Admin Architects, Developers, and enterprise IT leads to review technical designs, ensure declarative-first alignment, and maintain strict data and security governance standards.

Technical Skills:

  • Salesforce Ecosystem Mastery: In-depth functional knowledge of core products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Agent force tools) and declarative platform capabilities.
  • Agile Product Ownership: Mastery of Agile/Scrum frameworks, user story drafting, feature mapping, acceptance criteria framing, and release planning using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to bridge non-technical business units and technical execution teams effectively.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical ability to track platform metrics, assess process bottlenecks, and translate raw system data into clear recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Change Management: Experience leading UAT sessions, writing end-user documentation, organizing training webinars, and driving organizational change for high system adoption.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of dedicated experience as a Salesforce Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager leading technical delivery in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Agile project tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
  • Required: Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Business Analyst.
  • Highly Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP, or Salesforce Certified Sales/Service Cloud Consultant.

Humble. Hungry. Smart. Does this sound like you?

Do others describe you as being a down-to-earth achiever? Someone who thinks outside the box and always strives to do more than what is required. Someone who sees the bigger picture? You sound brilliant to work with!

We Want You To Shine:

We are committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants. If you require accommodation due to a disability, you will have an opportunity to notify us when scheduling your interview.
