Job description

Position Overview:

This position will report to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure code and CI/CD pipelines. This role will focus on automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous delivery using modern DevOps tools and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to support Business initiatives
  • Deploy and manage applications in Amazon Web Services environments
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using like Python and Bash
  • Cost estimates of AWS AI related services
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices for repeatable and version-controlled deployments
  • Ensure security and compliance through IAM roles, policies and best practices
  • Follow proper governance set forth by HomeServe Cloud and Security teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments
  • Adhere to organizational governance, security, and compliance standards, ensuring all cloud resources and pipelines align with established policies, audit requirements, and best practices
  • Maintain the Cloud team’s standards in all areas of the HomeServe Cloud Infrastructure
  • Build and maintain tools to manage deployment activities
  • Ensure exceptional documentation and communication of processes, procedures, and efficiencies
  • Design, deploy, and safeguard AWS cloud systems applications to ensure both reliability and security

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to take project/business requirements and build a cloud solution that adheres to HomeServe’s Network, Security and Governance standards
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance
  • Proven experience with cloud cost management
  • Exposure to AWS AI related services
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Security services
  • Maintain the Cloud team’s standard environments and services
  • Implement automation solutions while developing new efficiencies and improvements
  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services such as but not limited to (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Bedrock, Containers, SQS)
  • Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python
  • Experience with version control systems (Git-based workflows)
  • Ensure exceptional documentation and communication of processes, procedures, and efficiencies
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting
  • Datadog experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Effective communication skills (technical and non-technical)
  • Self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement

Salary Range (Norwalk, CT): $101,150.69 - $134,867.58

Salary Range (Chattanooga, TN): $82,759.65 - $110,346.20

Annual Bonus Potential: 10%
