Solutions Architect
Knowledge, Skillset, and Abilities (KSAs) –
  • Enterprise Architecture & Business Acumen: Ability to translate high-level business goals and complex system metrics into actionable, executive-ready KPIs and visual strategies.
  • Data Modeling & Pipeline Orchestration: Advanced knowledge of modeling data (e.g., star schemas, dimensional modeling) tailored specifically for Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) frameworks within modern data warehouses.
  • BI & Data Visualization Expertise: Expert-level mastery of visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) with deep knowledge of dashboard UX/UI best practices, row-level security (RLS), and performance tuning for large datasets.
  • Hands-on Scripting & Coding Capabilities: Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (such as Python) to develop, debug, and optimize data transformation logic within the ELT layer.
  • Requirements Gathering & Facilitation: Proven ability to lead cross-functional discovery sessions, facilitate discussions with engineering, IT, and executive stakeholders, and reconcile technical limitations with business desires.
Specific Requirements –
  • Stakeholder Consultation & Discovery: Facilitate workshops with system engineers, database administrators, and business stakeholders to identify key system metrics, pain points, data sources, and desired dashboard business outcomes.
  • Architecture & Design: Design the end-to-end data flow architecture—from the source system metrics, through the ETL pipeline, to the data warehouse, and finally to the visualization layer (Power BI/Tableau and enterprise-level tools like Dynatrace, etc..).
  • ETL Development & Scripting: Perform hands-on scripting, database engineering, and SQL optimization to clean, aggregate, and structure system metrics into highly performance-optimized schemas.
  • Dashboard Development: Build, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards that track system health, operational performance, and enterprise-aligned metrics.

Specific Deliverables –
  • Deliverable 1: Business Requirements & Metrics Mapping Document (BRD): A comprehensive document detailing the business goals, stakeholder feedback, defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), mapped system metrics, and logical data definitions.
  • Deliverable 2: End-to-End System Integration & Data Flow Architecture: A technical blueprint illustrating the data journey from source systems, through the ELT staging and transformation zones, to the final visualization and analytical models.
  • Deliverable 3: Data Pipeline/ELT Scripts & Repository: Well-documented, production-grade scripts (SQL, Python, or ETL/ELT tool pipelines) deployed to the project's code repository to orchestrate daily or real-time metric transformations.
  • Deliverable 4: BI Dashboard Mockups & Wireframes: Architectural UI/UX mockups of the proposed dashboards capturing user interactions, filter schemes, and layout prior to final development.
  • Deliverable 5: Production-Ready Dashboard Solutions: Interactive BI dashboards published to the designated enterprise environment, successfully connected to the automated ETL backend.
