Jr. SW โ€“ AI Engineer

Job Location: Tullahoma, TN โ€“ Arnold AFB (on-site) 47 Wattendorf Memorial Hwy, Tullahoma, TN 37388 Clearance: Active Secret highly preferred. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. Relocation: Candidates willing to relocate within 2-4 weeks will be considered Compensation: 80-90K

Job Summary: The successful candidate will work as a team member to develop and utilizes simulations and models. Evaluates tools, technologies, architectures, models, and test results. Heads meetings regarding AI with external parties and internal business-embedded innovation teams. Collaborates with lead engineers to define subsystem requirements and acceptance criteria.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree: AI Engineers candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related technical field from an accredited university.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience designing and implementing Machine Learning/AI models using various programming languages such as (python, R, Java, JavaScript, or C++); assisting in the development of algorithms for training AI models.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship is required.
  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Current Security+ certification preferred, or able to obtain one

Job Duties:

  • Support the Project Managers managing large and complex capital improvement projects in an assigned branch.
  • Prepare and provide reports for that assist the Project Managers with tracking and control of the scope of work, resource utilization, schedules, and work accomplishments.
  • The AI Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining artificial intelligence (AI) systems and applications.
  • General responsibilities include:
    • Designing and implementing machine learning models using various programming languages such as Python, R, Java, JavaScript or C++.
    • Collaborating with data scientists to develop algorithms for training AI models.
    • Conducting research on new technologies in the field of AI and applying them to improve existing systems.
    • Optimizing AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
    • Integrating AI solutions into various software applications or platforms.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product managers, UX designers, and data analysts to ensure the successful deployment of AI projects.
    • Ensuring that AI systems are secure, reliable, and adhere to ethical guidelines.
    • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in AI development.
    • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers or interns.
    • Documenting code, models, and processes for future reference and collaboration with other team members.
    • Perform other related duties as required.
