Job description

The Soft Goods Automatic Screen Print Operator is responsible for setting up and operating automatic screen printing equipment to fulfill orders. This role contributes to the success of the company by producing high quality and consistent prints in a timely manner to meet the customerโ€™s expectations. This is a non-exempt, full-time position requiring an average of 40 hours per week. Although overtime is expected during high volume periods, the typical schedule is during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday 6:00-4:30.

**THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS AUTOMATIC SCREEN PRINTING EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED**

Responsibilities/Duties:

ยท Operates printing equipment to quickly and efficiently fulfill orders and meet deadlines

ยท Monitors print quality throughout the process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of each job; escalates complex print issues to Senior Print Operator or Management to ensure the order is not completed without meeting quality standards

ยท Performs routine upkeep and maintenance on all equipment and notifies Senior Print Operator or Management of any necessary issues or repairs needed

ยท Reviews film, coats and burns screens

ยท Setup of each order including mixing inks / Pantone color matching

ยท Follow all safety protocols

ยท Maintain and update production logs

ยท Clean up and resetting equipment after each order

ยท Training other team members as needed

ยท Other duties and tasks as needed, such as cleaning and organizing production areas

Requirements

  • ยท Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience running M&R automatic presses required with an advanced understanding of printing systems strongly preferred โ— Exceptional attention to detail โ— Ability to work efficiently and independently โ— Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyโ— Effective interpersonal and communication skills โ— Able to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced production environment โ— Available to work overtime as needed โ— Basic to intermediate computer skills Physical Requirements: โ— Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. โ— While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. โ— Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. โ— Occasionally required to climb or balance. โ— Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. โ— Prolonged periods of standing and operating machinery โ— Available to work (hours): Monday - Friday during regular business hours. Occasional evening, weekend and holiday hours may be necessary during peak seasons.
