Job Title: Commercial Banking Division Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Commercial Lending
Hours of Operation: 40 hours minimum per week
General Job Summary:
Lead a team of Commercial Lenders in the delivery of relationship management and new business development for clients and prospects in your Market area. Responsible for identifying, soliciting, servicing, delivering and coordinating the delivery of a broad range of financial products and services. Proactively develop new client relationships and deliver exceptional, high-level relationship management to clients and prospects.
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a Manager/Lender, supporting a team of Commercial Lenders in the delivery of a broad range of financial products and services to clients and prospects
  • Provides a team of Commercial Lenders with direct support and mentoring in all facets of credit underwriting, product delivery and new business development
  • Leads Commercial Lenders in the execution of proper sales and relationship management techniques, oversee performance, provide appropriate feedback and support their growth
  • Evaluates loan requests and approve credits within approved authority
  • Make credit recommendations to Executive Management
  • Analyzes financial condition of clients and prospects to determine capacity for credit obligations
  • Negotiates credit terms and conditions to properly manage the Bank's exposure to risk and ensure sufficient return

Other Functions:
  • Serves on internal Bank committees for review of policies and procedures
  • Supports Bank's commitment to community involvement by serving on external charitable board of directors and by attending functions

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in business, accounting, finance or banking/or equivalent education and related training (will consider equivalent, applicable years of experience)
Experience:
  • 10+ years banking experience with 5 years in commercial lending capacity.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills
  • Strong written, verbal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications

Supervisory Responsibility: This position is responsible for managing/directing a Commercial Lending department
