Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable DZ Driver to join our team for DZ local pd of scrap metal products throughout the GTA. Job Specifics Tuesday to Sunday (May vary dependant on project) Start and end location - Aurora, ON ; Deliveries throughout Southern and Northern Ontario Day shift - 7am-4pm, unpaid lunch (OT Dependant on project) Approximately 50-55 Hrs per week (OT After 50) 5 Ton Straight box truck $30/Hr Pickup and deliveries of scrap metal from various facilities in the GTA (Mobile Scrap Pickup Service) Average of 3-4 stops per day Must be willing to do physical work; lifting 50lbs, use of powered pallet jack, and barrel clamp dolly Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise Requirements/Skills 3 Years of Verifiable Commercial DZ driving experience Experience with city pd Clean abstract and CVOR Proven experience in DZ LTL deliveries with a valid driver's license. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
