Job Title: General Laborer – Overnight Shift

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to work in a modern, large-scale manufacturing facility as a General Laborer on the overnight shift. You will support various production areas, operate hand and power tools, assist with assembly tasks, and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The position includes a structured orientation, on-the-job training, and the potential to transition to permanent employment with opportunities for cross-training and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Work across different production areas to support manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret tape measures and basic measurements to complete production tasks accurately.
• Perform general labor and general production duties as assigned, including assembly work.
• Handle and move materials and products, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Maintain a high level of productivity and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Identify and resolve basic issues on the production floor using strong problem-solving skills.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in a 4-day orientation, including 3 days in the classroom and a 4th day of on-the-job evaluation and training, and successfully pass the evaluation.
• Work the overnight shift from 9:45 p.m. to 6:15 a.m., Monday through Friday.
• Be punctual and dependable, consistently arriving on time and ready to work.
• Be open to working overtime on weekdays and/or weekends when required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and report issues.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $25.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
