Inspector – Full-Time

???? 1st Shift - Monday–Friday, 6am - 4pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inspector to support inbound material operations at our Davenport, IA facility. This role involves inspecting, grading, and directing incoming scrap metal while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and inspect inbound scrap metal to the facility
  • Identify and grade inbound scrap materials
  • Reject unacceptable items and ensure quality standards are met
  • Direct customers in traffic flow and proper unloading areas
  • Complete inspection tickets and provide to customers
  • Obtain customer signatures on appropriate material certificates
  • Maintain good working relationships with customers
  • Operate yard equipment as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in metals preferred
  • Ability to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Strong attention to safety and detail

Must wear all necessary PPE while working or while in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times. Failure to follow standards may result in loss of position.
