Job description

What you'll do

The Parts Operations team is responsible for the management of Scout Motors' genuine parts business, ensuring the seamless procurement , pricing, sales, compliance, and administration of spare parts.  As a member of the team you will be responsible for working directly with suppliers on the set-up, planning, and delivery of parts directly into the Scout network warehouses and workshops to maximize customer satisfaction.  This role requires superior communication skills to work across multiple internal and external stakeholders in a fast-evolving environment during a start-up phase.  Strong project management and analytical skills are essential for success.  This role reports to the Manager of Parts Operations.

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Develop parts procurement plan for service parts in advance of vehicle launch & maintain plan throughout vehicle life-cycle 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to define parts volume requirements for service needs 
  • Define and manage optimal stock levels and the composition of parts to meet service level KPI's effectively, at HQ and retail level. 
  • Implement & leverage emerging AI solutions to support end to end aftersales parts planning efficiencies 
  • Create and implement strategies for distributing stock across PDCs and retail locations, ensuring efficient delivery and compliance with delivery time KPI's. 
  • Identify Key Performance Indicators that set clear objectives that may be tracked throughout the organization to manage program efficiency 
  • Organize and document processes to capture and understand Aftersales requirements, ensuring sessions are productive and result in clear, actionable insights 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. 
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel required, approximately 10-20% of the time. Valid driver's license required. Passport required.

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Automotive Aftersales with focus on parts forecasting & management. 
  • Experience in use of demand planning systems to perform scenario planning as well as development of short and long term consumption forecasts  
  • Strong knowledge of ERP with knowledge of product life-cycle management, EDI communication, bills of material, supply chain operations, and supplier releasing 
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards including product compliance 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel  
  • Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally with a global supply base.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
