Field Agronomist II - Glyndon, MN Field Agronomist II - Glyndon, MN, As a Field Agronomist II in Glyndon, MN, you work with research and commercial brand teams to develop short- and long-term testing programs for experimental and commercial products and hybrids; you monitor product development throughout the season, collecting biological information and data from field and strip plots and presenting agronomic insights to research and commercial stakeholders; you arrange and conduct plot tours, provide product knowledge to support hybrid and product evaluation, and make recommendations that guide new product and hybrid development; you leverage your technical expertise in applied field research and agronomic science to provide technical leadership and robust data in support of product registration and technical sales, helping deliver outstanding product outcomes and customer experiences. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Field Agronomist II (Glyndon, MN.,) are to: Independently conduct and coordinate field studies, applying protocol and statistician recommendations to design trials that achieve protocol objectives, efficiently and accurately collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data to influence product positioning internally and externally; Utilize internal and external networks to identify and secure testing sites that meet protocol criteria, work cooperatively with academics, growers, contract research organizations (CROs), and other key influencers on crop protection field trials; Provide data on product efficacy and make development recommendations based on data interpretation, contributing to product advancement, selection, and commercialization decisions within Bayer Crop Science; Collaborate and co-create with Agronomic Solutions Managers (ASMs) and Technical Product Leads (TPLs) to develop National Protocols as part of Protocol Delivery Teams (PDTs), and apply marketplace knowledge to support Local Technical Teams (LTTs) in developing Regional Protocols; Participate in Product Performance Inquiry processes and assist as needed (e.g., Crop Phytotoxicity, Weed Resistance Management), serve as a local Bayer contact for university research staff, and represent Field Solutions regional and national interests on assigned workstream teams; Provide commercial operations with technical sales support by presenting them to grower and distributor groups, assisting with product inquiries and complaints, delivering product education, and aligning product concepts with customer perspectives to identify gaps, opportunities, and challenges; Learn, apply, and adhere to all regulatory, stewardship, and safety requirements in field testing programs, coaching internal and external stakeholders on stewardship expectations to ensure freedom to operate (FTO), and collaborating with Functional Compliance Leads on Confined Field Trial audits; Initiate and manage external contracts and maintain land and warehouse agreements, forecast and order seed and crop protection products for successful execution of field research programs, and collaborate with Agronomic Research Managers in planting, spraying, maintaining, and harvesting field trials; Effectively manage DOT compliance and trailer inspections, follow all safety and regulatory guidelines to maintain company FTO, steward company resources, and function independently or collaboratively to plan, coordinate, and execute field research trials while hiring and training temporary personnel as needed

WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; Valid driver's license (Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers); Ability to obtain appropriate driver's license for medium to heavy vehicle operation (>10,000 lbs. GCWR) without air brake designation and obtain licensing to meet region-specific justifications (US DOT/FMCSA or Transport Canada) including any required specialized licenses to enable the hauling of trailers, product, supplies or equipment in a safe manner. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, OR a master's degree with 5 years of experience, OR a PhD with 3 years of experience; Bachelor's degree in agronomy, crop science, or related discipline; Good knowledge of key and secondary crops and pests, with a strong understanding of crop protection and how Bayer Crop Science products fit within the assigned territory; Working knowledge in at least three pest control disciplines; Strong communication and human relations skills, with the ability to create highly effective presentations and technical information bulletins and communicate technical information to internal and external audiences to influence positive decision-making; Advanced analytical and creative skills to identify business opportunities and make recommendations on agronomic components and systems based on interpretation of trial data; Advanced organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple trials and projects simultaneously; Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Ability to obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator certification in the state(s) within the territory; Advanced proficiency in operating and maintaining small plot equipment, including tractors, sprayers, hand booms, and related machinery. Domestic Relocation may be eligible Posting will be available until July 31, 2026. Employees can expect to be paid a salary of $94,480.00 - $141,720.00per year

Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
