Scoreboard/Pitch Clock Operator
Department: Operations
Supervisor: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Seasonal Hourly, Non Exempt
Purpose and function of job:
The Scoreboard/Pitch Clock Operator is responsible for the operation of scoreboard or pitch clock during games while embodying the Pit Spitters way and positively representing the image of the Traverse City Pit Spitters
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Principle duties and responsibilities of this job classification:
- Operation of scoreboard or pitch clock during Pit Spitters games or stadium rentals when operation is required
- Be available no later than 30 minutes prior to first pitch for pre-game/pre-event meetings with appropriate event staff, umpires, or league personnel through duration of event.
- Be available for scheduled pre-season training with Northwoods League personnel.
- Keep all work and storage areas clean and free of debris and clutter.
- Operate all equipment for intended use and according to manufacturer's instructions and practices.
- Follow all Pit Spitters rules and operating procedures.
- Maintains compliance with all appropriate MIOSHA, safety, departmental or company procedures and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Special skills/abilities/competencies required:
- Must be available to work evenings, occasional holidays, and minimal days according to baseball and event schedule.
- Must demonstrate ability to work alone or in a team environment depending on event.
- Must be able to effectively, skillfully, and efficiently work with hands in a fast-paced work environment.
- Show ability to focus for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Display effective communication skills when communicating with umpires or event management

Certifications or special training needed:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
