Job description

Triad Associates (part of the Concordia Wireless family) is a nationwide construction services firm specializing in the development of wireless communication sites, with a focus on supporting telecom networks. We are contracted by major carries to facilitate network upgrades including conversions from 4G to 5G. Our services include construction management, electrical and civil modernization, antenna and line (A&L) tower work, tower maintenance, fiber optic network deployment, commissioning and integration, directional boring, trenching, and excavating. Our expertise spans a wide range of projects.
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Telecom Construction Estimator to support the planning and execution of wireless infrastructure projects, including cell tower builds and upgrades. This role is ideal for candidates with direct telecom estimating experience, but we are also open to estimators with strong backgrounds in general construction, concrete, or fiber projects who are eager to apply their skills in the telecom industry.
  
Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000 plus generous annual bonus
Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position

Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for telecom construction projects, including new cell tower builds, modifications, and upgrades
  • Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements
  • Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing models
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and ensure alignment
  • Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities
  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and estimating tools
  • Support proposal development and bid submission processes
  • Track awarded vs. estimated costs to improve future accuracy
 
Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in one or more of the following:
    • Telecom construction (cell towers, wireless infrastructure) preferred
    • Fiber network construction (aerial, underground, directional boring)
    • General construction or civil projects
    • Concrete or site development
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor productivity
  • Experience estimating cell tower builds, including foundations, steel erection, and equipment installation
  • Familiarity with telecom industry standards and permitting requirements
  • Experience working with subcontractors and managing bid packages
