Job description

Job Overview:

We're adding an Experienced Electrical Engineer to help grow our in-house EE capabilities and mentor the next generation.

You'll take the lead on commercial-building, solar-energy, and telecom projects while shaping our processes for a department that is growing.

Duties:

  • Own the electrical scope on assigned projects: power distribution, lighting, communications, grounding, PV interconnects, and selective coordination.

  • Manage projects start-to-finish: scope, schedule, budget, client updates, and QC.

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and drafters; red-line drawings and share best practices.

  • Meet clients on site as needed to gather data, review existing conditions, and strengthen relationships.

  • Perform and stamp calculations (or be well on your way) while driving code compliance and energy-efficient solutions.

  • Champion continual improvement-update templates, suggest new tools, and help steer department growth.

  • Tackle "other duties as assigned" with the good attitude, reliability, and focus that define a Vector engineer.

Qualifications:

  • 4 + years of electrical-design experience (commercial buildings preferred).

  • Licensed PE (or the ability to gain Utah licensure and reciprocity within 12 months).

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. a plus.

  • Solid grasp of the NEC, IECC, and relevant IBC chapters; proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Proven ability to lead projects and nurture client relationships.

  • Solar-PV and/or telecom design experience preferred.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel occasionally.

  • Key soft skills: clear communicator, quick learner, hard worker, reliable teammate
