Job Title: Formatter/Proofreader
Job Location: Richmond, VA

Important Notes:
  • The decision to release two positions is driven by the Hiring Manager's requirement to secure distinct skill expertise. Specifically, one candidate must demonstrate strong proficiency in EndNote, while the other must have strong expertise in SharePoint.
  • These skills are non-negotiable. If a single candidate possesses strong experience in both areas, we may proceed with hiring only one position.
  • This is not a full-time role. The engagement is on an on-call, as needed basis, with workload varying by business demand. Candidates should expect fluctuating hours - some weeks may involve up to 20 hours, others fewer than 10 hours, and occasionally no hours at all. Weekly hours are not guaranteed and may increase during peak periods or as deadlines approach. Candidates must be comfortable with this flexible, part-time arrangement.
  • Due to limited submission slots, we request that only highly qualified candidates who closely meet the required criteria be submitted.
Job Description
  • 5 Years of experience
  • Expertise in EndNote & SharePoint is required
  • Expertise in Starting Point or other formatting rulers/tools like Global Summit Preferred
  • Expected average up to 20 hours per week but it could (depending on the available work) be up to 30 hours.
Expectations of role:
  • Proofreading of regulatory application sections for:
    • Narrative consistency
    • Grammar, punctuation, etc.
    • Conformance to ALCS style guides
    • Electronic software formatting of regulatory application sections
    • Conversion of reference articles into publishable format Training background, formatting science documents & meet journal submission requirements for manuscript
