This position offers the opportunity to work closely within a small, collaborative community of approximately 25 students and one teacher for each discipline: humanities, Spanish, math, art and science. We are seeking a passionate educator who loves teaching and can bring science to life through hands-on, inquiry-based learning grounded in Montessori principles.

The ideal candidate values authentic learning experiences, fosters curiosity, and inspires students to explore and understand the world around them. The ideal candidate also will partner with families and colleagues to support each student's growth. Applicants should have experience or familiarity teaching a range of science disciplines, including biology, chemistry, geology, geography, physics, and astronomy.

A unique aspect of the Wavecrest program is our weekly farm experience: one day each week the Wavecrest community spends a full day learning at Live Earth Farm, where students engage in meaningful, hands-on work and real-world connections that support the adolescent Montessori experience.
