Job description

Oriental's Data Scientist Trainee Development Program is a 12-month accelerated experience designed for high-potential graduates seeking to develop critical business, analytical, and leadership capabilities within a dynamic, and data-driven financial environment.
Through structured rotations, trainees will transform and analyze information to generate insights, improve operational efficiency, and support business priorities. The program combines hands-on experience, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to prepare participants for long-term career growth within Oriental.
This is a hybrid position based in Oriental Center, San Juan, PR.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
  • Generate Insights to Enable Better Decisions
    Transform and analyze datasets using analytical tools to support business and operational priorities.
  • Enhance Data Processes and Automation
    Contribute to the development and optimization of pipelines, reports, and dashboards to improve accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency across teams.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Reliability
    Analyze datasets, identify inconsistencies, and uphold high standards of data integrity and governance in a regulated environment.
  • Improve Operations Through Data Solutions
    Identify opportunities to streamline processes using analytics and automation, driving more efficient ways of working.

SKILLS

WHO SHOULD APPLY

  • Work Schedule & Location: This position operates in a hybrid environment based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
