Your Impact at LILA
We're seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter (Contract) to support hiring across our Autonomous Science Platform (ASP) organization. This recruiter will lead full-cycle recruiting across hardware & controls engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, and sustaining engineering and laboratory operations.
While the role is primarily focused on contract hiring and staffing agency partnerships, it will also support full-time hiring for entry- and mid-level roles across these same functional areas.
In addition to managing a portfolio of requisitions, this individual will serve as the primary partner for external staffing agencies supporting ASP hiring.
Success in this role requires strong technical recruiting expertise, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to build and manage agency partnerships that consistently deliver exceptional talent in a fast-paced R&D environment
What You'll Be Building
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for contract positions and select full-time roles across the Autonomous Science Platform (ASP), including:
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for staffing agencies supporting contingent hiring across ASP.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies, align on talent profiles, and drive hiring decisions.
  • Manage the distribution of contract requisitions to agency partners while setting expectations around candidate quality, timelines, and service levels.
  • Evaluate agency performance, provide market feedback, and foster strong partnerships that deliver consistent hiring results.
  • Conduct recruiter screens and guide candidates through the interview and offer process.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data, pipeline activity, and hiring metrics within the applicant tracking system.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, agency engagement, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience supporting engineering and scientific organizations.
  • Experience recruiting for hardware & controls engineering, manufacturing engineering, automation, laboratory operations, or scientific organizations.
  • Experience managing staffing agency relationships and contingent workforce recruiting.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and scientific talent markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship- building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse.

Bonus Points For
  • Experience recruiting within biotechnology, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, robotics, automation, or other deep technology environments.
  • Experience supporting technical hiring in startup or high-growth organizations.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled recruiting and sourcing tools.
