Job Overview

The Operations Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for providing administrative, logistical, and operational support for WRM's transportation, wastewater treatment, disposal, and environmental services operations. This position serves as a key liaison between customers, drivers, technicians, disposal facilities, vendors, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant daily operations.

The Operations Coordinator supports dispatch and scheduling activities, maintains operational and compliance documentation, assists with customer service and payroll administration, and provides overall operational support to help ensure service excellence and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Obtain and maintain customer signatures, manifests, waste profiles, service tickets, and other required operational documentation.
  • Assist with dispatching and scheduling drivers, wastewater technicians, and field personnel to support daily service operations.
  • Monitor daily service activities and ensure work orders, tickets, and operational documentation are completed accurately and timely.
  • Serve as a backup dispatcher and communication resource for field employees.
  • Coordinate communication between customers, operations personnel, disposal facilities, vendors, and management.
  • Maintain operational databases, reports, filing systems, and compliance documentation.
  • Support environmental, DOT, safety, and operational compliance efforts by maintaining required records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, operational summaries, and other business-related documentation for leadership review.
  • Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, vendor coordination, and administrative support activities.
  • Support payroll preparation through collection and verification of employee time records.
  • Follow up on customer requests, service concerns, and operational initiatives to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with onboarding coordination, training documentation, and employee record maintenance.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote and support WRM's commitment to safety, compliance, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Need:
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Environmental Science, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operations coordination, dispatching, transportation, environmental services, wastewater treatment, industrial services, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working within wastewater treatment, liquid waste management, transportation, environmental services, construction, industrial operations, or waste management environments is highly preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
