Position: Operations Manager

Compensation: $64,000 - $69,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Operations Manager to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a logistics leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving operational excellence. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Transportation Coordinators, support day-to-day freight operations, and help shape the customer experience through process improvement, communication, and accountability. This position offers the chance to make a visible impact across service performance, team development, and operational consistency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Lead and develop a team of Transportation Coordinators
  • Oversee truckload, LTL, hotshot, and specialized logistics operations
  • Serve as escalation support for customer and carrier issues
  • Partner on business reviews and transportation strategy improvements
  • Monitor service metrics, delivery performance, and exception trends
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Support billing accuracy and resolve customer and carrier disputes
  • Prioritize workloads and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams
  • Provide after-hours leadership support on a rotating basis

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience preferred
  • 2–4 years of leadership or team management experience required
  • Experience supporting operational workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Experience conducting business reviews with clients
  • Background in cost-to-serve analysis
  • Exposure to SOP development and process improvement
  • Experience supporting multiple transportation modes
  • Familiarity with reporting and data analysis tools
