Job description

Our Partner is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits for cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. Working on this team means directly supporting the nation's cybersecurity defenders by ensuring they have reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure available within hours of a cyber incident-helping protect America's digital infrastructure when it matters most.
The Cloud Operations Manager will lead the end-to-end management of cloud engagement kits, ensuring rapid deployment, maintenance, and retirement of cloud-based infrastructure supporting critical incident response and threat hunting operations. This position requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in high-stakes operational environments. Serving as the operational lead, you will be the primary point of contact for government stakeholders while coordinating cloud infrastructure operations and technical capability delivery throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee provisioning and fulfillment of engagement kit requests within eight business hours of federal authorization
  • Manage decommissioning and secure termination of engagement kits following data archival confirmation
  • Coordinate with engagement leads, analysts, case managers, and federal leadership to ensure mission alignment
  • Produce and deliver weekly operational reports summarizing engagement kit status, health, and performance metrics
  • Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for cloud infrastructure issues
  • Manage resource allocation, scaling operations to match engagement requirements
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols including TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption and hardened cloud configurations
  • Oversee software license management and coordinate hardware shipments when required
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cloud operations
  • Serve as primary liaison between technical teams and government stakeholders
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or High School diploma and 10+ years of directly relevant experience
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud operations or infrastructure management
  • 3+ years of management or team leadership experience
  • Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response operations
  • Experience managing 24/7 operational environments
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to brief senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
