Job Title: Elementary After School Daycare Aide
Primary Role
The Elementary After School Daycare Aide supports the safe and structured supervision of students enrolled in the after-school care program. This role assists with snack distribution, physical activities, and daily routines while ensuring accurate attendance tracking and student sign-outs. Aides reinforce program rules, report behaviors to the Coordinator, and help maintain an organized and positive environment. By building strong relationships with students and families, the Daycare Aide contributes to a safe, supportive, and enjoyable after-school experience.
Key Accountabilities
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Supervise students during after-school care, ensuring safety, engagement, and positive behavior.
- Assist with daily routines including snack distribution, physical activity, and structured play.
- Track attendance and monitor students until family pickup, following established sign-out procedures.
- Support the implementation of the program's consequence plan and report student behaviors to the Coordinator.
- Help set up and clean up snacks, activities, and spaces used for daycare.

- Work under the direction of the After School Daycare Coordinator to carry out program expectations and procedures.
- Communicate with the Coordinator regarding student needs, concerns, or behavior incidents.
- Build positive relationships with students to foster trust, respect, and accountability.
- Provide courteous, supportive interactions with families during student pickup.

- Follow district and program guidelines related to student supervision, safety, and nutrition.
- Maintain professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all interactions with students, families, and staff.
